I have 15 now :) And that was without even particularly trying, other than commenting a bit more often.

The last 6 or so were from the UK PM markets which just resolved. All of them basically went like: see the news that Boris Johnson dropped out, bet $1k, post a comment with a link to the news, get badge.

I don't think you can get the badge on your own markets. Or at least I made a lazy attempt to do so and it didn't work.

@IsaacKing I have gotten the badge on a couple of my own markets.

As have I. Honestly, it seems kinda unfair

The ones I got on my own markets I wasn't trying for them specifically, so they seem fair - most of the time trading on your own market isn't really different than trading on someone else's market. But it's definitely easy to game in some cases.

Pretty easy to get a badge with minimal effort - just bet 50 in one direction and leave a comment, and even if you're right only half the time this only takes 20 markets in expectation. Or, you can at a later time bet 50 in the other direction and leave another comment and then guarantee it.

@jack I don't have any, so I can't say I really understand how they work. What are the actual criteria?

@AndrewHartman Basically you get the bronze proven correct badge if you bet at least M$50 in a single bet, then post a comment, and then the market resolves in favor of that bet.

E.g. in my comment above it says "bought M$50 of YES" - that's because I made that bet and then posted that comment shortly after - if this market resolves YES then I'd get the badge.

I guess I'm confused about how nobody has ten of these already, then?

@AndrewHartman The badge feature was only added like a week ago, and only comments posted since then are eligible. So people will start getting tons as more time passes.
