I am a computer science major who by this point will have a Master's Degree. I'm going to be looking for remote work, so location doesn't matter as much to me in particular.
My partner is a Baking & Pastry Arts student who will be graduating just before we move. So far their favorite is yeast doughs and the like
We live in the United States and both have passports. We are willing (but unlikely) to leave the country. We are queer, and therefore large parts of the country/world are essentially off limits for living. Locations in the former Confederacy or in a country where English is not spoken will not be selected unless there is a very good counterbalancing reason.
In general, regions are preferred to specific locations. For instance, "Greater Chicago" is more useful than "Boystown"
The only ask we have that I think is difficult is for a decent public transit system. Otherwise, we would also like to be within a few hours of a body of water and of a mountain. I realize some of our wants are mutually exclusive, but that's how things are sometimes
