Resolves yes if you can pay a small fee (25 usd cents to 1cent. 0 cents or free wont count) for access to a single New York Times article by EOY 2027. If it gives you access to multiple articles, that’s ok. Trying to measure if NYT charging 1-25 cents will be possible.

This must be the actual rate. If the charge is $2 but you can get it discounted one off for 25 cents, that’s not enough. I’m trying to see if very small transactions will be on New York Times.

I saw a tweet recently complaining about why can’t we pay to read a single article on a site (we don’t want to pay to subscribe to the whole thing) and in the replies someone said basically the reason you can’t pay to read single articles on media sites is the transaction fees would be too high.

Could this change?

I choose New York Times as this is a site that does have a subscription and currently blocks you from reading without it.
