Resolves YES if, before January 1, 2028, serious press or the manufacturer reports that a humanoid robot (two arms and a head or torso, on legs or wheels) marketed by its manufacturer for the home has been delivered to paying customers in the United States at a list purchase price under $20,000. Subscriptions, leases, deposits and preorders don't count. Resolves NO otherwise.
As of November 7, 2026, no robot meets this: 1X NEO is listed at $20,000 with preorders open, and SwitchBot onero H1 is announced at $9,999 but not yet orderable.
Resolution source: the Home Humanoid Registry at hugoalder.com/registry, which lists home humanoids with their sources, cross-checked against press reports. Disclosure: the market creator maintains that registry.
