"Like" as in I grade them out of ≥4 out of 5 on Letterboxd.
I will resolve any movie I watch.
The above movies are things I am considering watching within the next year, but haven't gotten around to yet.

Feel free to add new movies as recommendations, I'll send you the 25 mana (to a certain limit, at my discretion) so that it's free of cost for you.

You can see (most of) my previous ratings here. Unfortunately I haven't been great at updating ratings lately, and switched between different services (you can find some on my Playpilot account as well). For as searchable spreadsheet you can use this, but it only goes up to 2019.

See (some of?) my 5-stars below

I commit to not trading on this market. Market closure might get prolonged if I find it useful from people's bets, and actively watch recommended movies.

Extended!

Oppenheimer

I really appreciated how they made use of how multifaceted film can be as a medium (pacing, visuals, sound, distorting reality, ...). Close to a 5/5 in my book.

I watched a movie and turned it off after 15 minutes, fairly unlikely to watch it again. Should I resolve it to NO, N/A, or leave it up?

@HenriThunberg Sounds like a no to me! If it didn’t hook you and you have no intention of returning it sounds like it was a bad match.

Otherwise the only way for these to resolve no would be for you to suffer through movies you’ve already decided you don’t like! I prefer the world with less Henri suffering.

@Nikos thanks for input. I am sorry you guessed the wrong movie. :)

I commit to watching any movie that stays above 75% for ~a week!

Will get to Oppenheimer soon :)

What's the hit rate for any average movie here?

@ElliotDavies 31.7% on Letterboxd are 4 or 5 stars.

I would expect that I) me getting more picky with age than when I rated most above movies, II) the above selection of movies having a higher expected hit rate than average for what I would watch, more or less cancels out – so I think a base rate around 40% sounds plausible. I however won't make a meta market ("How many of suggested titles in Henri's movie market does he end up liking") 😅

Phantom Thread at 5stars 👀
