Merch will be purchasable with mana
Anyone who has their submission added to the store will receive a free merch item with their design!
Submitting designs
This can be an image of what would go on the shirt, or an actual mockup. The store is hosted by Printful, so be sure to check out their print guidelines before submitting. Then, comment the design here and I will add it to the market.
Designs should be on-theme for Manifold and not infringe upon anyone's copyright for a chance at being added. Message me or comment if you want access to any specific Manifold design assets that you can't find yourself.
I recommend finding the example item first and working backwards if you have a specific application in mind. See file guidelines on the product pages. T-Shirt | Hoodie | Stickers | Hat | Mug | iPhone Case | Other Products
Check out previous cool designs for inspiration from when this was done in 2023.
Feel free to submit other cool ideas alongside your design, i.e. "a Whale design, which is priced very high and a more reasonably priced Minnow design"; or, "A positive graph design which requires the Market Maven achievement, and a negative graph which requires the Wealth Redistributor achievement". No promises that we will be able to do it, but don't limit your creativity!
To get an answer added to the market, a working image/mockup must be provided
The creator is not the sole decider - moderators can add answers they think are worth adding
Users can "like" comments of designs they want added, which will influence what gets added to the market
Update 2025-10-25 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Moderators can request the creator to add answers by pinging them, and the creator will add the answers moderators desire. Admins can add answers whenever they want without needing to ping the creator.
Update 2025-11-07 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Designs may not be immediately added to the market even if submitted with proper images/mockups. The creator may wait for community feedback and interaction before adding designs as answer options.
Key consideration for selection: Merch should be something people would actually wear. Designs that are very in-group focused may only appeal to specific contexts (like Manifest events) rather than general wear.
People are also trading
Example for how to submit: Manifold Logo submission!

Logo is an SVG and can be recolored and resized to fit any size/shape/item. Mockup is for an embroidered cap
@StockKing we will get around to some version of this, but the cost to print and ship a hoodie can be 5x that of a shirt. Idk how much mana/money people are willing to spend, but this is the kind of thing we probably need some more mana purchase -> merch validation to justify
There are cheaper jumpers though, too
@Gen here's a basic ass manifold hoodie (oh how hard I resisted doing a dope all-over-print that allowed me to do a full sleeve, shoulder to wrist, with "MANIFOLD" and extra detailing). Heather Navy Bella + Canvas 3719. Price to print without markup or discount is $39. So yeah, that's like 4x the price of a standard tee. I could see how a limited war chest might make these prohibitive but hey the demand is there.

Notably an AOP hoodie costs $45, but doesn't get surcharges for all the little frills like the sleeve, custom colors, or as many details as you want so you (or I) could go much fancier. They're all in the same ballpark as doing the other AOP jacket I designed. Like this design is chill and I'd get it, but it could be MUCH better for only a little more $$ and I'd (personally) get the Cranes In Form bomber before this. (edit: though I do love me a hoodie! hopefully we get to do both at some point)
@Gen I like that you got inspired by that awesome invertible bucket hat! but woof I think the Yes/No design needs a lot of love. I was gonna do one with the react bets, some subtle and full design, and a couple jokes, but never found the time
In honor of our loan addicts, I present another for your consideration, "The Lootbox Lies":

Works on various dark or medium colors, not as good on light. Uses halftones for the starburst gradient, as is normal for partial transparencies in clothing.
I've got one more idea after this I'm hoping to sneak in soon, in a more classic direction like this.
@realDonaldTrump bet it up! we don't know if they're picking based on market value, likes in the comments, vibes, something else, or all of the above. we also don't know if theyre picking the top 2-3 or almost everything. you might as well back your favorite horse
@Stralor I was trying to find a way to have it so that people could have their own QR codes on their merch. The best idea I came up with is having a QR code that loads a redirect, and then we let people bid for temporary ownership over the redirect to go to their referral link.
It doesn't seem that lucrative as an idea though, unfortunately
As for the suggestions, I like the ideas! The execution is a bit unpolished but it's good to post and let people discuss / iterate. I'm going to leave them off the market for now until more people see them and interact. The main thing we're looking for, of course, is merch that people would actually wear. A lot of the suggestions (not just yours) are very in-group focused which I think people will want for manifest or not at all.
Thank you for the suggestions, they may still make it onto the market!
@Gen how about raffling off the redirect? 1 mana = 1 ticket in the raffle
@GazDownright not a bad idea, but if you can’t claim it later somehow I don’t expect it to sell much; I doubt people will want to buy merch with someone else’s referral link.
@GazDownright probably too much effort vs little reward. If we sell hundreds of shirts and people want it, I'll reconsider lol
