Trump becomes US President.

Best of luck to Mr. Trump, trust the plan

How will this be resolved?
@Duncan top answer win
@FranklinBaldo wait it's a Keynsian Beauty Contest? That's easy to manipulate at the last minute
@ahalekelly i see... How should it be decided?
How about the first answer to hold a subsequent one week contest like "was x the most important...?" ?

There's still a large incentive to push up the answer you hold shares in. A poll of manifold users is better but still not perfect. Is there a good third party that does annual rankings of political events?

You could just concede that it is entirely subjective and let the market continue as is. Or you could delegate to some news writer/organization

@ahalekelly But a third party will not add much information to the world. (if a ranking like this exists, it already be done anyway..).

@FranklinBaldo sure, the third party annual rankings already exist, but only retrospectively after the year is over. A market to predict what the ranking will be while events are still happening adds significant information to the world.

Or you could just pick the most important fact based on your personal judgement.

@FranklinBaldo You could also treat it as a poll, and count up how many people bet on each option, but that is labor intensive.

@Duncan I will decide using top political news from https://www.reddit.com/r/news
