I feel like the home screen just shows me markets I've already seen many times. It's not very helpful, except for the occasional boost.
After market close (one week) I will open the home screen on mobile and scroll through the first 30 markets I see. If 6 or more are unfamiliar to me, market resolves YES.
Unfamiliar means any of:
I've never seen the market before
I've forgotten the market such that I'm not sure if I've seen it before
I've seen the market before but there is a new development that I am interested in and haven't already seen (e.g. big swing or interesting comment).
For this last one, note that I get notifications for comments on markets I've bet in, and I check my notifications before the home screen. Also, I tend to monitor big swings in my own portfolio. Both of these make it less likely that I won't have already seen new developments.
Sister market for a longer timescale: will the home screen be improved?
I will not bet in this market, as it's unverifiable and subjective.

Now that we've established the baseline, will it be better in 6 months? https://manifold.markets/Fion/will-the-future-manifold-home-scree?r=Rmlvbg
First 30 markets this morning: 5 unfamiliar markets. 3 definitely new, 1 I wasn't sure about, and 1 with an interesting update I hadn't already seen.
Closer than I expected, but still a disappointingly familiar home feed, for a site that I'm sure has interesting new markets for me out there somewhere!
