The existing Master Contract sets base wages for workers based on experience, with annual raises, and has a table of wages (pg 5). What wages will the next Master Contract mandate?
The current Master Contract has a base wage of $39/hr for workers with 6 or more years of seniority. Union demands include a $5/hr increase per year for the next 6 years. That would correspond to a wage of $54/hr as of 2026-10-01, based on raises in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
If adding answers, please be clear about what level of seniority and what effective date they apply to.
This will resolve based on the next agreed Master Contract, which will presumably coincide approximately with the end of the strike. It will resolve based on the contract at that time, not as of the dates listed in the options. (A second new contract would have no impact on resolution.) Close date will be extended as needed.
If there is no new contract, and the current contract remains in effect, answers will resolve on their respective dates based on the current contract. If there is no contract in effect, answers will resolve based on the actual lowest wage paid (if I can find data), or based on minimum wage (if I can't).
The strike has been suspended. The tentative deal will increase the pay to $63 per hour when the contract is definitized.

The other major demand appears to be restrictions on automation. Zvi has a good market up for that one:
