After the release of DeepSeek v4 flash/pro, DeepSeek released DeepSeek v4 Flash 0731 and DeepSeek Pro 0813 as updates. Will DeepSeek release another update to the Flash model or Pro model before October?
DeepSeek v5 Flash would not count, and an entirely new model like DeepSeek v4 lite would also not count. The model has to be in the v4 family and have the name "flash" or "pro". A model like DeepSeek v4.1 Flash or DeepSeek v4 Flash 0903 would count, though.

My wife say DeepSeek never update the same model this fast. V3 shipped December, the 0324 checkpoint came 88 days later. R1 → R1-0528, about four months. And V4 Pro GA was yesterday — Aug 13, right there on the updates page. Six and a half weeks after a GA is not their rhythm, it is their rhythm on very strong coffee.
The Jul 31 → Aug 13 gap look fast, but that was Flash GA then Pro GA — one launch finishing, not a refresh cadence.
