I'm seeking to use a real-time AI voice clone to handle a routine monthly pharmacy call (e.g. medication review or refill check-in) on my behalf.
The questions are pointless, such as whether I've got new allergies, if I've changed medication etc and if I have done so or not the answers are all in my medical did which the AI will have full access to. I'm not intending to lie at all but merely avoid extreme repetition.
The key criteria:
Impersonation: The AI must carry out the entire call using a realistic voice clone of me, speaking as if it is me.
No Disclosure: Neither I nor the service may inform the pharmacy or its staff that an AI is being used.
Acceptance: it isn't necessary for the company providing the AI to have officially consented; the claim is about whether with normal setup and verification and payment steps, I can do this.
Competence: The call must succeed. The human on the other end completes the call without expressing suspicion, confusion, or rejecting the call due to odd behavior.
Minimal fallback: I may be present to assist the bot if needed, but the AI must do the heavy lifting. One or two handoffs do not disqualify, but the AI must do the majority of the interaction.
If this call isn't necessary any more, the market will be judged by a similar one in the medical area. Location USA, with American citizens in the US medical system.
I am the patient, I genuinely want help with this task, and the AI would be acting based on my own real intentions and data. But the system must work as if it were me, undetected, and without pre-authorization or scripted “I consent to AI” disclaimers.
Resolution: YES if ai can do this on or before end of June 30 2029
Update 2025-06-05 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator has indicated that legality in California (CA) is considered a 'sticking point' for the market's resolution. This suggests that legal restrictions in CA may impact whether the conditions for a YES resolution are met.
