Grand Theft Auto is pretty much the juggernaut when it comes to game sales. R* knows that and they like to drip-feed the advertising well in advance to stoke the hype. The reveal trailer for GTA V dropped almost two years before the game itself. The fact we haven't gotten one for 6 yet implies that it's still a long ways off. According to Wikipedia, industry insiders were predicting a 2025 release before the leaks came out last year - which probably delayed the game even more.
