With the loss of GCN+ for cycling streaming, where will US fans be able to watch the Giro in 2024?
I think there are some arguments to be made for a few of these answers, and then some bonus ones just for fun.
I'm intending to resolve to just 1, but if there are somehow multiple, we could do 50/50. Seems unlikely.
This is for the 'official' broadcast partner only. Pirated sites or other unauthorized answers won't count. "Not Available" will be chosen if there is no official legal way to watch it in the USA.
I'm planning to resolve it Yes as soon as there is a definitive announcement and the market strongly agrees it looks to be the case. I don't really want to wait all the way until Stage 1 just to move from 99% to Yes.
@Eliza Looks like it's significantly more expensive than before and possibly more expensive than Flo.
@Eliza Per the description, this announcement should be enough to resolve Yes as long as the market agrees it's not a fake. We don't need to wait for the actual race. The announcement specifically has the info we needed.
@Eliza Still buying No I guess, because they have no sports content on Discovery+ in the USA.
I feel like FloBikes ($50m investment from Discovery) or Peacock (might be willing to buy rights for an existing Sports program) are better options.
Does Discovery+ even exist in the USA for sports content at this time? I went to their website and there is no mention of sports. I know they show sports outside the USA, but I doubt they would debut with cycling?
Maybe they are just prepping for a launch in the near future, though. This still feels a little too high to me.
