Resolution criteria
This market resolves YES if Bad Bunny has at least one song reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at any point during 2026. Resolution will be verified via the official Billboard Hot 100 chart at https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/. The market resolves NO if no Bad Bunny song reaches #1 on the Hot 100 during 2026.
Background
Bad Bunny released his seventh album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, on January 5, 2025, which includes the Billboard Global 200 number-one hit "DTMF". However, none of his songs from this album reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart itself. He has solidified his presence across the charts with 14 No. 1s on Hot Latin Songs through 2024, but has never achieved a #1 on the main Hot 100 chart. Bad Bunny is set to headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show in February 2026, making him the first solo Latino artist to do so, which could provide promotional momentum for new releases.
Considerations
Bad Bunny's chart success has been primarily concentrated on Latin-specific charts and global charts rather than the Billboard Hot 100. While he has achieved massive streaming numbers and dominates Latin music charts, crossing over to a #1 on the Hot 100 represents a different threshold of mainstream English-language radio and sales penetration that he has not yet achieved as a lead artist.
