This includes being able to speak in past present and future tense, and have conversations with people about a variety of different things. Will be assessed as to whether I can speak DELE level B1. Resolves yes for speaking DELE B1 and no for not being able to.

CEFR says B1 is not nearly fluent. C1 can be. However, have a great trip! Sounds awesome. If you want to be fluent, work as teacher or in retail at first, then something administrative. That can really bring you closer to fluency.

checks out; also learning spanish and a2 approaching b1 doesn't feel close to fluency at all

@SeitaY I passed B2 French, studying at C1 level, and getting my ass kicked. Nowhere near fluent and thus not proficient, which is C2. Very humbling, but every month a little better.
