I'm confused. What election did he lose?

How does this resolve if he

1. is reelected but not from prison (because eg he's not convicted)

2. doesn't resign but decides not to run for reelection

@Conflux I'm thinking he will resign when they try to expel him. But as of now it looks to me like he will be expelled. I might be wrong though
