I'm generally a flexible eater these days, but I have a weird, basically unexplained aversion to cereal with milk (especially cheerios).
Besides eating cereal, I currently find it somewhat uncomfortable to be in a room with other people eating it, and am finding it uncomfortable to think about cereal as I write this description. But I don't think I ever had a traumatic childhood experience with cereal or anything like that, so it's pretty weird. I like oatmeal, granola, and other similar foods.
I have no current plans to retry cereal, but I feel like I should probably do it at some point, so maybe this market will be an incentive. If anyone has any suggestions, I would consider them.
Resolves YES if I feel comfortable eating a bowl of cereal with milk at market close. Resolves NO if I'm still uncomfortable. This sort of thing does have a lot of gray area, so I may end up resolving to a percentage if I feel more comfortable but not fully comfortable, or comfortable with certain types of cereal. I will do my best to resolve honorably.
Try microwaving the milk first, so it’s warm and nice; eat some cereal (ideally something like Nestle honey stars or Nesquick) without the milk (like you would eat popcorn or something); drink some milk afterwards; see how you feel. If that doesn’t cause aversion, try microwaving the milk in a bowl, then adding some cereal and eating it

@ms it's bothering me that someone would go ahead and leave a useful thoughtful comment when I am betting NO

I love cereal and can't imagine not doing so. It must be very deep-seated, and food aversion can take serious reframing to change

Where I am from granola is considered part of the "breakfast cereals" category, like cornflakes or weetabix or musli etc.
So it sounds like you've already overcome it
