Moderators can resolve markets if the outcome is known and the creator is inactive. This early resolution seems to be a mistake so I've unresolved the market. @jacksonpolack, please be more careful next time.
@SG Hmm, this is an odd situation! The reason I resolved it was the convention delegates have officially chosen the nominee,
And all of the other dem nomination markets have resolved, including ones with description language like:
Resolves to whoever is selected as the United States Democratic Party nominee for President at the 2024 Democratic National Convention
that one was the official politics market
That second market's language looked to me to be the same as the 'at the DNC', which is why I was okay resolving this, given the creator appeared inactive.
The thing I missed was the market creation date, which implies this is about remaining uncertainty after the politics market resolved, so the resolution was wrong, which is something to be more careful about. But if this market had been created a few months ago, I'm not sure what rule would've led me to realize the resolution was incorrect, which is a funny situation.
