This resolves YES if the L1 Ethereum Mainnet protocol uses 2D Reed-Solomon Codes, presumably for Data Availability Sampling.
The original paper discusses Merkle trees for commitment, but pairing-based commitments have been discussed as well. Either is acceptable for the purposes of this market. Higher dimensional RS codes will not be acceptable though.
