@IsaacKing Probably not since there have been plans to integrate manifold into Destiny's stream. Destiny's had a bunch of orbiters for years and we've always made memes about a person's stock value. I guess the only way it dies down is that it dehumanizes people and Destiny might think about that.

@0o0 I started listening to the Lex Fridman podcast and I gotta admit he won me over early when he criticized Lex for (mis)using the phrase “begs the question” (almost always it should be “raises the question”). I haven’t gotten much past that but good first impression.
Yeah, I'm happy they're getting something out of the site but vaguely annoyed that the live feed and "search latest" are not really useful. Especially all the +10 bets, which I think should probably be marked as a bot.
Filtering out anything in the group would probably be enough for me, but I scanned through github and didn't see any issues / PRs related to that. Though really it's only exploded over the past couple days.
How are you filtering? Userscript?
@0o0 I truly want you to have the same great experience here that I do. But I don't really get your memes. I do like Lex Fridman so I will watch the new podcast and reassess. I may like the guy and join the community because the memes will start making sense. Idk. But I am definitely open minded.

There should be some way for @ManifoldMarkets to just suspend them for being incredibly cringe and annoying.

@MichaelWheatley That is totally fair. But if the entire homepage of the site is Destiny memes it is a Destiny site, not Manifold anymore. I don't use the homepage very often, but this morning it looked like Manifold was hacked. I have since figured out how to filter most of it out, and I would love to see some crossover interest from the Destiny community with the Manifold community. I am also not liking the incentive to create meme markets for sake of getting unique trader bonus.
