Senator Dianne Feinstein, 89, whose recent bout with shingles included contracting encephalitis, is frailer than ever. But she remains unwilling to entertain discussions about leaving the Senate.

@MCMillennium Apparently she doesn't remember that she wasn't in DC for a few weeks because of her shingles. She may be forced by leadership to resign soon.

@BTE Via the threat of a motion to expel her? I've heard nothing about such moves, and that seems like the only way to force a senator to resign.
She's already been shameless in staying in office, which should update us down on her remaining capacity for shame.

She is at least temporarily resigning from the Judiciary Committee. Hard to foresee a circumstance where she doesn't have to resign if she can't return to DC.
To be clear - YES if she should die or resign on or before 2024-1-2, and NO if she for any reason and in any way finishes out her term, even should she decline to seek reelection, even should that refusal be public in advance of that date?
