If Israel is engaged in sustained heavy combat against a coalition of adversaries on multiple what should the US do?

Escalate by unleashing the dual carrier strike force in "shock and awe" mode
Stoke from a distance by supplying defense support to Israel similar to Ukraine
Deescalate by sending in US led peacekeepers and force Israel to follow US rules of engagement

Is there an implication here that US rules of engagement are better than Israeli ones? I don't think that is true.

@MartinRandall They are more conservative.

This is a weird trinary. Escalation/de-escalation can take a vast variety of forms, and the details of these choices seem arbitrary.

I have particular beef with the de-escalation option, since American boots on the ground will inevitably be seen as a move to militarily support Israel, rather than a peacekeeping mission. Maybe an unaligned nation could get away with this without stoking further tensions, but the US is a steadfast Israeli ally. Sending troops to an ally's conflict zone isn't called peacekeeping; it's called joining the conflict.

That means the respective options here are escalation (direct involvement of American troops), escalation (indirect involvement), and escalation (direct involvement of American troops).

It is my view that such a war should be ended quickly if possible, meaning the first option.
