Congratulations!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Rachel started labor at 11:30pm last night; we went into the hospital late night and are getting settled in.

bought Ṁ250 YES

Dilated to 3cm at last measurement (9am)

Edit: First measurement at Jul 5 4:40am was 2cm

4cm at 2:30pm

5.5cm, things look like they'll start picking up (30m check in, prepping nitrous oxide, talk of breaking the water manually)

Rachel did take an epidural last night, since then we all got some sleep. She's still resting now. Last measured at 8cm dilation at 7am

bought Ṁ8,000 YES

Measured 10cm at noon; Rachel's started pushing. Hoping to meet Ada in a couple of hours!

bought Ṁ50 YES

Median date is now July 10...

boughtṀ100 YES

Fingers crossed for y'all...

bought Ṁ100 YES

Hope y'all have a smooth labor and delivery!

sold Ṁ18 YES

happy Due Date Day 🧡 hope you're all feeling good

What type (environment) of birth are you planning and how do you feel about induction?

(Because one week late is when conventional Drs/hospitals start pushing to induce, but you can say no, but some people want to be induced by that time)

good point, important context

I’m pretty resistant to induction. I’d say no at 41 weeks, yes at 42.

We've now scheduled July 12 as backup day for induction (which would result in a birth date of maybe July 13? not sure)

From https://datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator:

As of right now, Jul 7th is the modal (most likely) day of spontaneous labor, and also the median (we expect that ~50% of labors to have started before then). Note that labor != birth, though; a first labor like this one can be expected to take 12-24h.

Are we gonna get regular narrative updates now that we're parasocially invested? 🤣

I was thinking about using this market to broadcast updates to our friends and family...
