I was recently unexpected laid off from my ML internship despite having been promised a continuation into this summer. Suffice to say I am scrambling like hell to try to secure a new one this late. Will I actually manage to get a new one?

Only tech roles count. If I get something that won't advance my career goals much (like a business analyst internship or something?) this resolves no.
