If there is no gravity chess champion in 2022, would resolving this market "no" be logically consistent?

predictedNO

@AndrewG Like, let's say it's 1788, and you make a market, "will I assassinate the President of the United States by the end of the year". But there was no president by the time the market closed, since GW took office in 1789. Then it pretty clearly should resolve NO, right?

predictedYES

@AndrewG Well if you assassinated GW then he couldn’t have become president, whereas an AI could beat someone this year who was the best at gravity chess, even if we don’t know who that is yet. If “champion” means winner of the gchess.ca finals, then agreed this should resolve no if there is none.

There are several games called Gravity Chess; which one is this?
