Hidden Cup V (abbr. HC5) is an Age of Empires II 1v1 tournament hosted by T90Official. After qualifiers are done, players are "hidden" until the end of the tournament. Neither the commentators, the audience, or the top 16 competitors know the real identity of the players in each match.

@Ziddletwix I'd love to make some prediction markets for the identities of players... but hard to do that right. At the start of the event, 16 options is too many to track. At the ro8 or ro4, it'd be totally doable to make markets to guess the identity of individual heroes, but that doesn't give a lot of time to get people trading! Still, hopefully someone can make a few of those once we get to the later rounds (& maybe I can try).

@AmmonLam actually I might just do it. People mostly only care about the identity of the top players anyway. I'll make a market for Hera, Viper, Yo and stop there
@AmmonLam Yup agreed that it's best to prioritize the very best players (the rest won't matter as much). Last time I got good traction by posting about it on Reddit, I can try & do that again. Although I do think that "predicting identities" will suddenly become super interesting around the ro8/ro4 and there will be minimal interest before then, so best to try and get people aware of it at the right time.

I'll try to share a few of these on Reddit once the tourney starts going. (We got way more activity for NAC5 than I expected, but unfortunately I think that tourney was an easier sell for predictions, as people like to know who they're betting on, so I'm not hopeful we'll get the same action)
