@Ebcc1 my plan is to tag @AmmoLlama , and if after a few days they don't respond, I'll make a poll myself asking which of these options is people's favourite, then ask the mods to resolve according to that

@TheAllMemeingEye actually, after checking Google Trends I must admit I was mistaken, it seems that while in my home country (the UK) cheddar is most popular (maybe due to its origin here in the eponymous town), parmesan (to me a rather obscure cheese used in Italian fine dining) is somehow most popular in the US (maybe due to Italian American influence?)

And based on my poll it seems the manifold userbase is primarily in the US
