This resolves YES if it stops being the case that when I visit the home page it tries to put "trending" on top (rather than "glowfic"). It's OK if I have to make further settings adjustments to arrange this so long as they then "stick".

@Sinclair It doesn't do it every time, and sometimes it "remembers" after a second of putting trending on top, but it has happened several times and sometimes persists through a refresh or a visit to the settings page.

What I could reproduce is the groups loading much slower, so if you refresh then Trending might show at the top temporarily until the other sections, like Glowfic, load.
Will be making some changes, including a faster way to load groups like Glowfic, so this hopefully won't be an issue for long!
