I am currently in a monogomous relationship and do not identify as polyamorous, though I do admit some caveats. This isn't a firm line for me at the moment, I expect it may change in the coming year(s) and I my relationship was open for part of the year. Some people identify as polyamorous despite being in closed relationships while others maintain it is simply a descriptor of a relationship type that one can engage in. However, NO feels the most appropriate to me and seems in line with the question. I gotta say, Jan 2023 me would probably be somewhat surprised at this outcome.
@shankypanky thank you! we're 5 months in but it still feels shiny. Thanks for the rating :)
@Stralor she's the one that wanted to be in an open thing in the first place, but had an experience that led to less than good feels regarding me hooking up with another. So we mutually decided to be mono for the time being!
@SneakySly I read Future Sex in 2019 and began a primary-structured polyamorous relationship shortly after that lasted 11 months. In that time I slept with 8-10 women (my most promiscuous period of my life). Since then I've been in one monogamous turned open relationship that lasted 14 months, and seen one other someone monogamously off and on for the last year. I'm currently single, but still off and on with the last person (who doesn't use these labels, considers herself monogamous + single, but forms deep, long sexual connections with many people at a time).
@hectohenry haha it is one of the most beautiful looks at modern culture that's been written, in my opinion. Not just for sex and relating, but culture in general.
I met my old partner on tinder! Just advertise what you're looking for and your experience and it will happen
