YES

This question will resolve YES if Donald Trump, for whatever reason, harshly criticizes Vivek Ramaswamy before the November 2024 Presidential election. For example, he might harshly criticize him for:

1 Gaining in the polls relative to him
2 Taking up too much of the spotlight relative to him
3 Disagreeing on some policy matter
4 Not sufficiently agreeing with him on some policy matter

5 Something entirely else

"Harshly criticize" here is doing a lot of the work and will ultimately be a subjective decision by me, but what I'm generally looking for is ridicule, belittling, giving a perjorative nickname, describing him with some demeaning adjective, etc. The same kind of thing he has done to many erstwhile allies. If it happens, it happens, even if he takes it back later or speaks in praise of him later.

This will resolve NO if Trump does not so harshly criticize before the November 2024 Presidential election.

I won't be betting in this market and will be listening to the comments to decide if something qualifies as "harshly criticizing" but will be making the ultimate decision if something counts.

Happy to take the 6 mana but the only belittling I see here is calling him "Vivek" and himself "Trump." I was waiting for something more mean-spirited Thanks all though for prompt and direct attention to potential dust-up.

@ClubmasterTransparent Exactly. I'm learning to become skeptical of these subjective markets.

Think there should be more uncertainty here, voting no only because it’s unclear how it will actually resolve, in a world where OP still had his account he’d likely resolve YES

@SophonConsultant Yea after watching a few videos, I wouldn't say it is harsh, just standard shit talking jabbing that all politicians do. But I guess that is subjective.

Trump does use the word “Very sly” against Vivek’s campaign not Vivek personally.

“a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side””

And Vivek is not MAGA.

Does this qualify as “harshly criticize”? I don’t think so. Especially not when it comes from a man who has come up with “little Marco” and “your wife has an ugly, horrible face. “ “think how bad it must be to have to kiss “… etc

OP specified some criteria:

I'm generally looking for is ridicule, belittling, giving a perjorative nickname, describing him with some demeaning adjective, etc.

I understand the YES side got excited when Trump for the first time mentions Vivek. But there is no ridiculing or demeaning. Not this time. It might come in another truth tweet.

It’s is just not here this time.

Yeah I agree with this interpretation. It actually lines up pretty well with what ChatGPT gives when prompted with the question description + truth post too:

I have history turned off, which breaks directly sharing, but the exact initial prompt was:

@AndyMartin Wow 😯 I feel that ChatGPT is actually better than me to analyze and explain. I really admire the crisp and clean language and logic.

Lol OP is a deleted account. I guess make your case for the mods.

@Joshua My case to the mods is that if it resolves NO I'll be sad.

@Joshua

@Joshua OP specified some criteria

For example, he might harshly criticize him for:

1 Gaining in the polls relative to him
2 Taking up too much of the spotlight relative to him

1 and 2 have both happened.

what I'm generally looking for is ridicule, belittling, giving a perjorative nickname, describing him with some demeaning adjective, etc. The same kind of thing he has done to many erstwhile allies.

He called him "very sly", said he uses "deceitful campaign tricks", said he is part of "the other side", and "not MAGA"

Clearly resolves yes imo

@SemioticRivalry I thought you were presenting an argument for waiting until the last line

I'd like to get a second mod's opinion so this doesn't just resolve to the first person to see this, but I agree with Semiotic's logic here. "Sly" and "deceitful" are pretty harsh IMO.

@Joshua Ya this can clearly resolve ASAP there is clearly no counterargument

@Joshua not a mod but yeah, I agree (and have no mana on this horse)

@Joshua it's harsh but not in the flavor of ridicule, etc. I'm fine with a yes resolution given an inactive creator.

@Joshua If an older gentleman called me Sly and Deceitful, yea that would be harsh criticism. From a younger person, i wouldn't think anything of it. But it is Trump, he is old, those words are meant to be harsh.

I dont hold and never held a position in this market.

I believe this is a YES if your basing it off a statement like such.

@SirCryptomind uh, he's not a gentleman.

@breck I don’t know if this qualifies, seems to me like normal criticism, not particularly demeaning

predicted YES

@dominic Trump is clearly pissed off about the photo and has harshly criticized him in retaliation.

predicted NO

@Predictor Sure, he seems annoyed here, but the question description seems to define “harshly criticize” as something similar to “making fun of him,” which I’m not sure he does here.

predicted YES

@dominic Calling someone "deceitful" and "sly" and part of the "other side" is absolutely harsh criticism if not an outright character attack.

predicted NO

@Pykess Yeah, I would agree that it is harsh criticism based on the title, but are these things “belittling” or “demeaning”? It seems like that is also a requirement via the description.

predicted YES

@dominic "belittling" perhaps not. But "demeaning" absolutely. This statement was absolutely meant to make Vivek lose the respect of others as well as his dignity. Calling a Republican one of the "other side" is exactly akin, these days, to saying that they aren't worthy of any respect from their peers.
