TL;DR

Predict which system will come back online in full functionality first, between AO3 (fanfiction and fanworks platform, down Oct 29, 2026) and ALL.Net (arcade networking system, down Nov 1, 2026).

Resolution criteria

This market resolves to the option corresponding to whichever platform or service restores full operational functionality first following their respective late-October / early-November 2026 security outages.

  • Archive Of Our Own (AO3): Resolves if AO3 is restored to normal public operation first, defined as users being able to read works, log into accounts, and post or edit fanworks/comments without being in a read-only or degraded-mode restriction. This will be verified via official communications from the Organization for Transformative Works (OTW) on the OTW Status Page or the @status.archiveofourown.org Bluesky account.

  • Amusement Linkage Live Network (ALL.Net): Resolves if SEGA Fave restores standard ALL.Net network services first, defined as arcade cabinets resuming online connectivity, network matching/rankings, and Aime card authentication across affected titles. This will be verified via official notices from SEGA Fave / ALL.Net announcements on the @allnet_info X (formerly Twitter) account or the official SEGA Fave corporate news page.

Clarifications & Edge Cases:

  • Full vs. Degraded Functionality: Temporary test periods, read-only modes, or partial restorations (e.g., AO3 operating in a degraded read-only state, or ALL.Net running local arcade matches without Aime profile authentication) do not count as "full functionality". The service must officially confirm standard features have resumed, or maintain stable full access for at least 24 consecutive hours.

  • Simultaneous Resolution: If both announce or demonstrate full restoration at the exact same hour/date, the market will resolve according to whichever official announcement timestamp is earliest.

Background

Both platforms suffered major security breaches in late 2026 that forced administrators to pull services completely offline:

  • Archive Of Our Own (AO3): The OTW took the site down on October 29, 2026, following the detection of a security incident. The organization estimated the restoration process would take roughly 2 to 4 weeks while engineers audit systems and make infrastructure adjustments. On November 6, 2026, the OTW stated that they "believe that our original return time estimate remains accurate".

  • Amusement Linkage Live Network (ALL.Net): SEGA Fave suspended its arcade infrastructure network and the accompanying Aime card service on November 1, 2026, after discovering unauthorized server access. The outage disabled online play and player tracking across hundreds of arcades for both SEGA and Bandai Namco titles (such as Taiko no Tatsujin and maimai DX). SEGA Fave has not published a definitive recovery date; the @allnet_info X (formerly Twitter) account stated that their next update will be on November 8, 2026, at 9AM JST.
