 to be serious for a second, I was genuinely a bit sad to see you crash out over this, since you contributed a lot of entertainment to the site over the past year! And I appreciate that. Tbh I kinda hope this just isn’t something you care about all that much and that’s why you decided to blow it all up and mess with the site. But the site only works if there is some modest attempt to enforce rules, and it doesn’t work if people crash out over any rules dispute, so this is what it is.

 yup, I think fining your previous balance (rather than allowing you to donate it as you please) is a “minimal” putative action given that you abused exploits and forced a full reset of the site. 

Got it that you sold some positions before laundering the mana via unlisted markets—as I said above, I was only going on the UI, I did not take the time to track down the laundered funds because the distinction here is irrelevant to the punishment. If you had 500k balance floating around I expect the staff would have made the same call? 

 Ṁ140,000 is not minimal lol. My net worth was over Ṁ200,000, and I liquidated shares to pay for these managrams.

Maybe the bigger issue is that Manifold leadership keeps lying and the false claims keep piling up.

 Not true, the mana had to be transferred through markets because managrams were disabled. I enough mana in balance to afford both payments.

was this mana paying back a previous loan? (and if so, could you link to the loan?). or was it just inexplicably sent to you?

 i am guessing that the mana should be burned (either staff can fine or you can send to the official manifold account) but there were a few of these cases so i pinged david asking him to chime in. so you can hold tight for now.

Can you explain the situation? Honestly there are alot of easy ways to falsifying mana, it's just a bit harder to hide traces.

 Got banned mistakenly, unbanned now. Happened to a couple of people at least.

 That was what got him the original 1-week ban. He then found an exploit, amassed absurd amounts of mana, and started crashing markets with it.

 What did he do? I only saw the market where he used the wrong format to reap trader bonuses

 why would anyone react that way? But why did the mods react so strictly so quickly?
