This market resolves YES for a specific plan if OpenAI introduces third-party commercial advertisements to that plan's interface between now and Dec 31, 2026.
Resolution Criteria:
Definition of Ads: Only third-party paid placements count. Internal OpenAI promotions (e.g., "Upgrade to Plus," "Try our API") do NOT count.
Search Results: Sponsored citations or links within search results DO count as advertisements if they are paid placements.
Testing: Small-scale A/B testing does not trigger a YES. The ads must be officially announced or widely visible to a significant portion of users (general availability).
Plan Names: If plans are renamed, this resolves based on the functional equivalent (e.g., "Pro" resolves based on the $200/mo tier).
Timing: Resolution is triggered immediately upon verified implementation, even if the ads are later removed.
