Background
DiCaprio won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Hugh Glass in the 2015 film The Revenant, making that his only Oscar win to date. DiCaprio currently leads the Best Actor race, even as many consider Timothée Chalamet's performance to be a career best. DiCaprio is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role at the 2026 Actor Awards for "One Battle After Another", directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Top contenders in the Best Actor category include Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Wagner Moura, Michael B. Jordan, and Ethan Hawke.
