A presidential election is planned in Russia for 15-17 March 2024.
Yekaterina Duntsova intends to run for president. She openly opposes the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Elections in Russia aren't free and fair. Opposition to the invasion is repressed.
I will resolve yes if she's admitted as a presidential candidate, i. e. if she's present in the ballot papers. I will resolve NO otherwise. I might resolve NO early if she's officially barred, dies, etc.
I will resolve N/A if the presidential elections aren't held (e. g. if they are cancelled, postponed, Russia ceases to exist, the post of the president of Russia ceases to exist, etc.)
@wadimiusz first registration attempt was refused; apparently there was no second. (Not enough time afaik.) Likely safe to resolve No.

@mxxun there's technically a possibility of her being a candidate from a political party (which is another pathway to candidacy, or rather two pathways depending on whether the political party is represented in the parliament). or perhaps an infinitesimal possibility of, i don't know, the entire political system going up in flames, Putin no longer being in charge, opposition no longer being repressed and barred from elections, but the election itself still taking place as scheduled.
in short, I also don't expect this to resolve YES, but I feel like it will be fair of me to wait until the actual election day and resolve based on the candidates in the ballot papers, like i promised in the description.
@wadimiusz deadline for party-sponsored candidates to register was yesterday! Afaik she is not one.
@mxxun shit, you're right, sorry, i missed that. but for another thing, i promised in the description to resolve N/A is elections are cancelled, postponed, etc. that's another reason why i won't resolve now.
