Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve to the year in which Grant "3Blue1Brown" Sanderson uploads a video where the majority of the content is AI-generated. The video must be uploaded to the 3Blue1Brown YouTube channel, whether the "Videos" section or the "Shorts" section.

• The video must be explicitly acknowledged by Grant Sanderson as being primarily created using AI tools.

• To qualify as "AI-generated," I imagine that at least 90% of the script and the animations (either directly or through the AI model generating code that invokes Manim or a similar library) must be AI-generated.

  • In particular, minor human editing or refinement of AI-generated content is acceptable.

  • The script being AI-generated means that Grant Sanderson or another person must ask an AI to explain a concept — either a specific one or leaving the choice of the concept up to the AI — and use the explanation suggested by the AI. Asking the AI for a particular way to explain a concept is disallowed. (Asking the AI for a "surprising" or "insightful" way to explain a concept is allowed.)

  • In the event that it is not precisely quantified how much of the video is due to AI, I will use my judgement as to whether more than 90% of it is attributable to AI.

• For the purposes of splitting years, the time zone is UTC+00:00.
