• I've always wanted to get a cat someday and it occurred to me this January that hey, someday could be now

Reasons for no:

• Two of my housemates are mildly-to-moderately allergic to cats - they don't veto this outright but it makes it harder. (I have a yearlong lease and really like my house, so I'm not moving this year unless something goes wrong.)

• I like to travel, and I would kind of worry about the cat being sad when I'm away, as I've observed with some other cats.

• I'm already doing really a lot of stuff this year and might just not have time.
