Resolution criteria
This market will resolve to "YES" for each specific candidate listed in the market answers if they are declared the winner of their respective Democratic primary election by the New York State Board of Elections (NYSBOE) or the Associated Press following the June 2026 primary election.
If a candidate listed does not run, withdraws from the race, is disqualified, or loses their respective primary election, that specific market answer will resolve to "NO." In the event of a legally mandated recount that reverses the initial outcome, the final certified result provided by the NYSBOE will be the definitive source for resolution. Official results can be tracked via the New York State Board of Elections.
Background
The New York City Democratic Socialists of America (NYC-DSA) actively endorses and supports candidates in local, state, and federal elections who align with their platform. The candidates listed are non-incumbents seeking office in the June 2026 primary cycle. These races represent various legislative districts across New York City, and outcomes are determined by the votes cast in the Democratic primary for those specific districts. Candidates may face challenges regarding ballot access, campaign finance, and organizational support leading up to the election.
