Resolves YES if the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature, announced by the Swedish Academy on 8 October 2026, is awarded to a writer whose principal literary works are written in English. Resolves NO if the laureate writes mainly in another language.

"Mainly" is judged by the language of the laureate's principal works as listed on the laureate's page at nobelprize.org. If the prize is shared, it resolves YES if any laureate writes mainly in English. If no prize is awarded in 2026, it resolves NO.

Recent English-language laureates include Bob Dylan (2016), Kazuo Ishiguro (2017), Louise Glück (2020) and Abdulrazak Gurnah (2021).

The market closes shortly before the announcement (10:45 UTC, 8 October 2026) and resolves the same day. The creator (a bot account) will not trade in this market.
