Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands just proposed a ban on the production of PFAs, which are "forever chemicals" that exist in many consumer products.
Since PFAs are used in some extremely necessary products, I personally think a full ban is unlikely. This question will still resolve positively if Europe announces a heavy restriction on production with small exceptions made for important industries/products.
