I mean… didn’t he literally betray them during Marineford? He refused to stop Luffy from saving Ace (or something along those lines) and got reamed for it. Even if anything prior to right now doesn’t count in the story, my guess is still YES. I think he knows he’ll have to change his ways for his grandson.
