@Domer is going to make an attempt at walking 100k steps tomorrow (April 19, 2026). Will he complete his mission?
Domer made an attempt in December 2024, though without any preparation (or adequate shoes and socks). He tapped out at around 62k steps that day and hasn't tried again. He's running occasionally these days and says he's in better shape than the last time, and feeling more confident.
Will he complete 100k steps tomorrow? If not, will he manage in 2026?
Resolves Yes under obvious conditions - a verifiable 100k+ steps on April 19th or another 2026 date, or he doesn't complete the challenge this year.
All dates are determined by the US Eastern time zone.
This is a dependent market - no options will resolve until one can resolve Yes.

@Stralor my leagues are already fucked this month so I haven't put a timer on this and might forget to check it again later. eat me up
@shankypanky no it's not. I ranked it like an hour ago bc it qualifies under the guidelines (personal market with verifiable results. and domer is providing active updates)
@Stralor ah I see you actively unranked it earlier. it wasn't just the auto-unranking. do you WANT it unranked? my bad
@Stralor glad I saw this. I thrive on haters and doubters. Get your milkshake ready, and find a straw.
ignore I am dumb and didnt read fully
@Stralor not sure I understand what you mean - the April 19th option is for 100k steps on April 19 ET, another day is on another date ET, and the 2026 option expires when the calendar ticks over to 2027 in the US Eastern time zone.
@shankypanky I suppose my question is somewhat relevant: does it count the date he finishes (e.g. if it's after midnight tonight)? or would steps after 12am not count and he must squeeze all 100k into a singular calendar day? I assume it's the 1st, but the wording is weird
@Stralor it's the same as other 100k steps markets lol I think whatever's unclear is going over my head?
@shankypanky it's just that 100k attempts often go into the wee hours afaik. 80k steps on calendar day 1, but they dont stop to sleep, just refresh socks and shoes and eat, etc. and finish the last 20k by 3 or 4 or even 8 the next morning.
@Stralor I mean who knows. Domer seems like a disciplined guy. But you def slow down towards the end.
@Stralor Fitness trackers work on daily values, and that's how im measuring it via my watch and fitbit
@shankypanky well I mean you choose your unit: 1 attempt, 1 24h period, 1 calendar day. Calendar day it is!
@Domer Fair!
@shankypanky I’m glad @Stralor requested a clarification because it was far from obvious to me. If @Domer completed the attempt at 1am tomorrow, I’d say he walked 100k in a day, but that would not be just on April 19th. So to be perfectly clear, it is a calendar day. He has to finish by midnight ET.
