Will I manage to do a single one-arm pull up (unassisted) before the end of 2025?
I won't doxx my complete physical stats but I have a climber-ish physique, although I do not currently climb. I can do about 15 consecutive neutral-grip pull ups, and a couple of reps of "one arm plus one finger" pull ups on either arm. I have a pull up bar at home, and am in the habit of using it whenever I walk past. I am also in the habit of randomly forgetting about my habits...
There was a similar market by @Fion which has some good advice in the comments, which I'm linking for future reference: https://manifold.markets/Fion/will-i-manage-to-do-a-onearm-pull-u
I will only bet YES in this market, and not sell before resolution.

Update on progress?
@retr0id 65% would be a fun milestone because it's the absolute max I can add to my dipping belt without running out of room on the chain (because half my weights are the vinyl/cement variety, not very dense - need to get more cast-iron weights!)
1RM is now +55% bw (it's more that I'm figuring out where my limit is, rather than actual gains relative to the last 1RM I reported)
It's interesting, when I do unweighted pullups to failure, the most difficult part is coming out of the dead hang. But at these higher weights, the motion is much slower and I'm finding the hardest part is the very end (i.e. getting my chin to clear the bar)
@retr0id perhaps I am unknowingly relying on momentum for the final part, at lower weights. I'll try going slower.
@StephenFowler28ac most days, aiming for high-protein but not measured/strict (omnivore), no but I do supplement creatine
@MartinSundhaug I'm actually very spite-motivated, the NO bets are even stronger motivation than the YESes
@MartinSundhaug Speaking as the biggest NO holder, I think these personal goal markets are fun. And they only work if somebody takes the other side.
And speaking as somebody who failed to do a one armer after working on it for over a year, I'd be delighted to lose a bit of mana in the cause of somebody meeting the goal. It's an awesome goal!
