Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to the exact number of wins the West Virginia University (WVU) Mountaineers football team records during the 2026 NCAA Division I FBS regular season.

• Included games: Only the 12 scheduled regular season games count.

• Excluded games: Post-season games—including the Big 12 Championship Game, bowl games, and College Football Playoff (CFP) matches—do not count toward this regular-season total.

• Cancellations/Forfeits: If any scheduled regular season game is canceled, declared a "no contest," or otherwise not played (and not rescheduled/completed during the regular season), it will not count as a win. If a game is forfeited, official NCAA/Big 12 rulings on the winner of the forfeit will be used.

• Source of Truth: Results will be verified using official standings and schedules published by West Virginia University Athletics and ESPN's West Virginia Mountaineers Football Schedule.

Background

The Mountaineers' 2026 schedule includes three non-conference matchups: Coastal Carolina, UT Martin, and a neutral-site game against Virginia in Charlotte, NC. This is followed by a nine-game Big 12 conference slate featuring matchups against Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Arizona, Cincinnati, TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas, Houston, and Utah.

This market will be easy to resolve objectively, and I may participate in it.
