On January 1, 2024?

Previously to David Solomon, these are the previous CEOs of Goldman.

Lloyd C. Blankfein (2006–2018)

Henry M. Paulson Jr. (1999–2006)

Jon Corzine (1994–1999) and Henry M. Paulson Jr. (1998–1999)

Stephen Friedman (1990–1994)

Solomon had a turbulent year in 2022 when he took a 30% pay cut due to staff layoffs one of the largest round of job cuts in Goldman’s history. Further, his outside DJing has gotten unwanted attention from board members and Solomon's leadership is being questioned by former CEO Lloyd Blankfein. Solomon is receiving unwanted attention and could it be that his personality does not fit the financial sector? And with revenues being down by 8% in 2023, it is still to his advantaged that revenues are up 40% since he took chair.

As for whether or not Solomon will still be CEO in January 2024, the next quarterly earnings will be held in January 2024 and if revenues keep dropping, Goldman might look elsewhere for a new CEO. I bet he will still be CEO in Jan 2024.
