I have some shorter-fuse tropical cyclone markets myself. There are very knowledgeable people explaining what's happening in the comments, and I also give updates myself. In addition, I put 200 mana into all of my markets as subsidies, and so it's a nice way for traders to accumulate mana, as long as you keep a tab on the situation according to the comments and other publicly-available information.
