Kamala Harris has announced price control policies, that have been discredited.
Opinion | Kamala Harris’s price gouging proposal is a terrible idea - The Washington Post
This market resolves to yes, if and only if,
Kamala Harris is the next President (either by winning the 2024 election, or by 25th amendment)
As President, before the 2029 inauguration, Kamala Harris enacts binding price controls
Either executive action, or signing a bill into law count.
Rules:
Price controls that are not "binding" in an economic sense do not count
If Kamala Harris does not become President, then this market resolves to NO, not to N/A
Prosecuting multiple businesses for forming a cartel to set prices, if they actually colluded and there is evidence that they colluded with actual communications by executives to collude between them, is not sufficient to resolve to YES. This is already illegal and has been illegal for some time.
Prosecuting businesses for forming a cartel to set prices if there is no evidence of collusion in terms of communications between executives will count towards resolving as YES.
Prosecuting a business for operating as a monopoly and setting prices too high will count towards resolving as YES.
