A rare fresh movie in february

I don't see any real reviews yet but early twitter reactions seem solid, so we might at least go 1 for 5 this month

@Ziddletwix movie drops tomorrow and the review embargo is still up. Pretty big red flag that they’re hiding something.

@mattyb Yeah looks like the review embargo drops this morning (might be 1pm est?), that sounds troubling but the Twitter reactions I saw were mostly fine? Probably currently have it a bit too high

@Ziddletwix i’m saddest about Bob Marley. It always looked like it fit the Walk Hard model perfectly, but many of those movies are still decent.

Review embargo drops today and the first reactions are not good

@mattyb Bummer. (from unscientifically the first wave of reviews on twitter, seems basically to match those reacions). despite all evidence that this is how it would go, I still had some slim hope this would be one of those weird reversals

@Ziddletwix I think there’s a real question if audiences react to the film, will it be “so good it’s bad” or just bad.

@mattyb yup. all tracking looks bleak but still possible that it catches on & people give it a try in theaters.

tbh I whiffed by not creating a market for the Madame Web vs Morbius (15%) RT duel—that would have kept things interesting. (although if I had to guess, MW might slowly rise a bit over time, we'll see)
