Background

Ren is a decentralized protocol that enables cross-chain transfers of crypto assets. Following the bankruptcy of FTX and Alameda Research (previous major backers), the Ren team has been working on Ren 2.0, a major upgrade to the protocol. The Ren Foundation was established in September 2023 to oversee this development.

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve YES if:

• The Ren 2.0 mainnet is officially launched and operational before January 1, 2026 00:00 UTC

• The launch is confirmed by official Ren communication channels (website, social media, or documentation)

This market will resolve NO if:

• Ren 2.0 does not launch before January 1, 2026 00:00 UTC

• The Ren project is officially abandoned before 2026

• Only a testnet or beta version is released before 2026

Considerations

• The Ren team has faced significant financial challenges following the FTX/Alameda bankruptcy

• While development is ongoing, no official launch date has been announced

• The establishment of the Ren Foundation signals continued commitment to the project, but does not guarantee timely delivery
