Do you think that gpt 5 is going to alienate their userbase? It's really bothersome as a free user to have to switch chats halfway in.

@Velaris I haven't encountered that myself, but I have noticed the general sentiment online is severely anti-OpenAI and is neutral-to-positive on Google's AI products.

@jim I honestly don't really care what company is behind which AI. However when most free users log in and start a chat, the default chatbot is Chatgpt 5 and it forces you to pay up after a few messages or start a separate chat with a different model.

@Velaris that is ridiculous.
